GRANDES MÚSICOS, ASISTENCIA MASIVA Y ÉXITO TOTAL: LOS PREMIOS SUBTERRÁNICA COLOMBIA 2017
La noche del 24 de mayo se entregaron los Premios Subterránica Colombia al rock nacional en su décimo primera edición, la cual fue marcada por la calidad impresionante de los actos en vivo y la emotividad en los homenajes póstumos.
Cientos de músicos, agentes del rock y medios de comunicación independientes se dieron cita para reconocer el trabajo de la escena de rock colombiana, los grandes triunfadores de la noche fueron The Stranges que se llevaron cuatro galardones y Burning Caravan con tres, otros destacados de la noche fueron Revolver Plateado que se llevó álbum del año con el poderosos Luz de San Telmo y Le Magdalena como mejor artista nuevo.
La ceremonia contó con presentaciones en vivo como la reunión de la formación original de Morfónia la legendaria banda de rock bogotana que se hizo notoria en los 90 durante la explosión del rock alternativo y la formación original de Darkness quienes a la par de celebrar 30 años de carrera se despiden de los escenarios para tomar rumbos individuales.
Alfonso Espriella, Keppler, Revolver Plateado, Perros de Reserva y Mala Entraña presentaron espectáculos de calidad y altura acorde con el momento.
Sin duda los momentos más especiales de la noche fueron los homenajes póstumos a Elkin Ramírez, vocalista de la legendaria agrupación Kraken, quien fue homenajeado por un conglomerado de músicos de diferentes bandas de Metal Bogotano que produjeron un ensamble con apartes de temas representativos de la banda. Y la emotiva aceptación de Don Gabriel arrieta del homenaje a su hijo, Gabriel Arrieta Jr, gestor cultural y apoyo incondicional de la escena rock durante años quien también falleció en el último año.
Se entregaron un total de 30 categorías y tres homenajes en la gala que llevaba por nombre “Reconfigurando el rock colombiano” que buscaba demostrar que si es posible una correcta clasificación de los géneros populares en el país y que manteniendo el interés por la investigación y la practica del tema se puede construir una industria cultural del rock colombiano que vaya de la mano del arte y la auto-gestión, objetivo que se logró a cabalidad y que demuestra que nuestra escena está unida, fuerte y lista para competir con cualquiera del planeta.
Un abrazo a todos y un “mil gracias”, sobretodo a las empresas que logran que año tras año se haga realidad este esfuerzo, The Music Site, Simmetry y CD Systems. Además de todos los aliados que producen y contribuyen a que los premios Subterránica sean el único galardón especializado el rock y un gran proyecto cultural.

GREAT MUSICIANS, MASSIVE ASSISTANCE AND TOTAL SUCCESS: THE UNDERGROUND AWARDS COLOMBIA 2017
On the night of May 24, the Underground Colombian National Rock Awards were presented in its eleventh edition, which was marked by the impressive quality of the live acts and the emotion in the posthumous tributes.
Hundreds of musicians, rock agents and independent media gathered to recognize the work of the Colombian rock scene, the great winners of the night were The Stranges who took four awards and Burning Caravan with three, other highlights of the Night were Revolver Plateado that took album of the year with the powerful Luz de San Telmo and Le Magdalena as best new artist.
The ceremony featured live performances as the meeting of the original formation of Morfonia the legendary Bogota rock band that became notorious in the 90's during the explosion of alternative rock and the original formation of Darkness who on par to celebrate 30 years of Race bounce off the stages to take individual courses.

Undoubtedly the most special moments of the night were the posthumous tributes to Elkin Ramirez, vocalist of the legendary group Kraken, who was honored by a conglomerate of musicians from different bands of Metal Bogotano that produced an ensemble with asides of songs representative of the band . And the emotional acceptance of Don Gabriel arrieta the tribute to his son, Gabriel Arrieta Jr, cultural manager and unconditional support of the rock scene for years who also died in the last year.
A total of 30 categories and three tributes were given in the gala that was named "Reconfiguring the Colombian rock", which sought to demonstrate that if possible a correct classification of popular genres in the country and that maintaining interest in research and Practice of the subject you can build a cultural industry of Colombian rock that goes hand in hand with art and self-management, an objective that was fully achieved and that shows that our scene is united, strong and ready to compete with anyone on the planet.
